PreIpoFunds is an independent comparison platform for private-market access. We map every route into pre-IPO companies we can verify, explain what each one costs and what you actually own, and connect readers with the providers that fit their situation.

Background

Companies now stay private for a decade or more, funded by large late-stage rounds rather than by public offerings. By the time a listing arrives, much of the growth has already happened away from public investors.

That shift created genuine demand for pre-IPO access, and a set of routes emerged to meet it - secondary marketplaces, pooled vehicles, listed funds holding private positions. What did not emerge was a neutral place to compare them.

Research methodology

Primary sources first. Dated facts or none. We publish gaps rather than estimates dressed as data.

  • The directory covers providers across six structural categories and private companies across seven markets, with each company mapped to the specific platforms that offer a route to it.
  • Referral and listing fees from some providers. Disclosed in full on our advertising disclosure page. Paying us changes nothing about placement, scoring or review tone.
  • We also track status changes, which matters more than it sounds. Companies list, get acquired, or quietly stop being accessible through any route we can verify - and a directory that does not reflect that is worse than no directory.
  • The site is operated by an Indian company. That is a corporate fact rather than a description of the product - the marketplace is global, and the largest section covers United States companies.

What I do not do

We are not a fund, a broker-dealer, an investment adviser or a placement agent. We do not sell securities, hold client money, or take custody of assets. Our role ends at the introduction.

Corrections

In a market this opaque, some of what we publish will turn out to be incomplete or out of date. Companies list without warning, providers change terms, and access appears and disappears.

Our commitment is not that we will never be wrong - it is that we correct quickly and visibly. When a tracked company lists or a provider changes its terms, the page changes.
